Ensuring election integrity is crucial for both our government and our way of life.
In a representative democracy, the right to vote is fundamental. It underpins the rule of law, popular sovereignty, and individual freedom. The Montana Public Policy Center’s Election Protection Project is dedicated to safeguarding this right and ensuring the reliability of our election system. The Project aims to educate the public on ballot safety with the following principles:
- Voters should be informed about their rights and the voting rules
- Voters should have the freedom to choose
- The voting system must uphold the integrity of each ballot
The Montana Public Policy Center’s Election Protection Project is offering resources and materials statewide to educate voters about election laws and how to recognize potential issues with their ballots. The Center also provides guidance on preparing and filing complaints with the Secretary of State’s office to investigate any suspected fraudulent activity. Our fundamental right to representation is essential and must be safeguarded; together, we must remain vigilant in defending it.
